MW is a small design consultancy located in Tribeca, New York; with satellite partners around the globe. Founded in 1993 by the husband and wife team of JP and Allison Williams, MW has amassed an impressive client list and produced a wide range of acclaimed work. Our aesthetic is characterized by diversity and unified by an essential clarity. Rigorous thinking, meticulous craft and a unique command of color inform all our work. Referred to as “the patron saints of low-key luxury” by ID Magazine, we strive to create imagery that is both subtlety exquisite and deeply engaging. Dialogue – between client and designer, between problem and solution, between project and audience – forms the structure for all our work, enabling robust solutions that support long-term relationships. We pride ourselves on being able to apply our full range of creative skills to a client in a manner that allows us to become immersed in a company, providing relevant and successful solutions that support growth and evolution with aesthetic consistency and enduring value.
MW has produced a large body of acclaimed work, amassing over 150 awards from around the globe. Highlights include Gold Clio award, Best of Category: Design from ID magazine and Best of Category: Packaging from ID magazine, a Red Dot “best of the best” award, Deutscher Preis fur Kommunications design: “Hochst Designqualitat”, Silver medals from the Society of Publication Designers, Distinctive Merit Awards from the ArtDirectors Club, Critics Choice awards from The Big Crit and The Type Directors Club and awards from AIGA and British D&AD.

Their work has been recognized by a variety of international publications and is part of the permanent collections of The Denver Art Museum and the Butler Library at Columbia University.

He holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Masters Degree from Yale University.
